GRE® Diagnostic Service
If you are planning to retake GRE® General Test, use the GRE® Diagnostic Service to help you understand your performance on questions in the Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning sections of the test you took. This FREE service includes the types of questions you answered correctly and incorrectly organized by skill area, and the difficulty level and time spent on each question.

Question-and-Answer Review Service — Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning Sections (New York State test takers only) — Fee: US$50
This service allows you to review the Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning test questions that you answered incorrectly on your General Test. The questions are presented with your answers and the correct answers. The service is available to New York state test takers who take the GRE General Test during one of the eight weeks listed below. Review sessions need to take place at a New York state test center and will be available approximately 30 days after the test date, and for up to 60 days thereafter.

You may make an appointment three days after you take your GRE General Test. For example, if you test on December 15, 2020, you may make an appointment for the Question-and-Answer Service on December 18, 2020; you would be able to schedule a review session to occur between January 15 and March 15, 2021.

To reschedule your appointment, contact GRE Services no later than four days before your appointment. The rescheduling fee is US$50 and there are no refunds for this service.
Score Review for the Analytical Writing Measure of the GRE General Test — Fee: US$60
You may request a score review of the Analytical Writing measure of the GRE General Test that you took up to 90 days after the administration. You can request a score review online through your ETS account. If you are paying by paper check or money order, you will need to complete and mail the GRE Score Review Request Form with payment to the address indicated on the form. Allow one to three weeks for the results of the review to be emailed to you. Note that during the review process your GRE General Test scores will be placed on hold; you will not be able to report your scores to designated score recipients until the review process is completed. If the score review process results in a higher or lower score, the new score will be reported.
